                                HIGHLIGHTS

 Council Leader Stan Henig was ousted in Castle by massive Green majority.
 Greens won five out of six seats in their two target wards.
 Labour lost over half their seats**, and lose control of the Council.
 Gains for Independents and Liberal Democrats **; Tories static.

 [** Provisional results at 2.00am with one ward (Scotforth East, inc

 [LATE NEWS Scotforth East returned all three LibDems, thus gaining
a further three seats from Labour.]

 The new Green Councillors are Jon Barry, Gina Dowding, and Sandra
Greaves (all in Castle ward), and Emily Heath and Tony Pickney (both in
Scotforth West).

 Detailed results for the four most central Lancaster Wards are as follows:
