I am a lecturer in statistics at Lancaster University. My research extends my PhD on the methodology of Approximate Bayesian Computation (ABC), supervised by Paul Fearnhead. ABC is a family of methods for statistical inference of complex models where the likelihood function and associated traditional methods of inference are unavailable. Instead they exploit repeated simulations from the model to learn about its parameters. I'm also interested in developing methods which combine simulation with partial knowledge of the likelihood for inference.
