League-table success for Lancaster
The department's high standing is reflected in the latest league tables.
We are delighted that the department's position in the latest league tables underlines the excellence of our undergraduate courses. We are rated 6th by The Guardian, 12th by The Independent and 9th by The Times (subscription required). In the department's aggregate table, formed by combining the ranks awarded by each major newspaper, Lancaster appears in 7th place, the highest-rated department in the North of England. A similar table, formed by combining university ranks, puts Lancaster University in 9th place in the United Kingdom and top in the North-West.
