ESRC National Centre for Research Methods
The National Centre for Research Methods consists of a coordinating Hub at the University of Southampton and six Nodes around the UK, of which the Lancaster-Warwick node is one. The focus of the Lancaster-Warwick node is in the development of statistical models for developmental and social change, specifically related to criminology, psychology and sociology, but also encompassing methodological and computational issues.
APTS - The Academy for PhD Training in Statistics
The Academy for PhD Training in Statistics is a collaboration between nine major UK statistics research groups (at Bath, Bristol, Cambridge, Glasgow, Lancaster, Nottingham, Oxford, Southampton and Warwick) to organise courses for first-year PhD students in Statistics and applied Probability nationally.
NATCOR - A National Taught Course Centre in Operational Research
NATCOR is a collaboration between six universities to develop and deliver taught courses in Operational Research (OR) to PhD students.
MAGIC - Mathematics Access Grid: Instruction and Collaboration
MAGIC is an EPSRC funded project led by the Universities of Manchester and Sheffield to improve the teaching of UK postgraduate students in mathematics.
