Dominic Magirr, a second year PhD student in Statistics, won this years "TakeAIM: Articulating the influence of Mathematics" competition of the Industrial Mathematics
Knowledge Transfer Network. The award recognizes best examples of articulating the influence of mathematical research to a wider audience. Dominic won the award for his work on multi-arm multi-stage clinical trials which forms the basis for a clinical study which has recently been funded by NIHR and MRC and is currently being set up.
