The Postgraduate Certificate in Quantitative Methods can be obtained by successfully completing modules to the total of 60 credits from the MSc programme.

Typically at least 50 credits should be made up from the core modules; the remaining credits to be taken from the optional modules of the MSc programme.

Other combinations of modules are possible and may be granted at the discretion of the Course Director.

Optional (non-credit) support courses in mathematics and statistics and a range of software courses are available to supplement the substantive and methodology courses.

Please see structure of the MSc programme for all optional modules.

The Teaching Statistics pathway may be studied part-time (by distance learning) as a standalone PgCert and is suitable for teachers in secondary or higher education wishing to enhance their statistical skills.
