The Department of Mathematics and Statistics boasts one of the UK's leading research groups in statistics and a vibrant pure mathematics research group that specialises in analysis.
Masters
We offer the following MSc Programmes:
- MSc Programme in Statistics
- includes pathways in Environmental Statistics, Medical Statistics, and Pharmaceutical Statistics.
- MSc in Applied Social Statistics
- offers postgraduate training in social science statistical methodology, and is designed for social scientists and others who are interested in quantitative methods. Applied Social Statistics can also be followed at a PgDip and PGCert levels.
- MSc in Quantitative Finance
- taught jointly with Lancaster University's Management School, provides you with the necessary skills and relevant knowledge and understanding to pursue a career in banking and finance.
