As one of the strongest statistics groups in the UK, Lancaster University has a long-held reputation for both teaching and research. For example our teaching rated as "Excellent" in the most recent Teaching Quality Assessment (1999).We are also the only statistics group to be awarded a Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning in postgraduate statistics. The quality of the MSc is also accredited by the Royal Statistical Society, entitling the graduates to Graduate Statistician status on application to the Society.
