Funding for the MSc in Statistics
Studentships for 2012-13
We are pleased to announce that some grants are currently available and more are under negotiation for the support of students on the MSc course in Statistics at Lancaster University for 2012-13.
- Three grants are available from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for students who wish to study for a PhD in statistics after completing their MSc. These are open to UK students, cover all course fees and provide a stipend of around £13k to cover living costs.
- Three grants are available from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) for students who wish to go on to work in areas of benefit to the National Health Service. These grants are open to UK and EU students, cover all course fees and provide a stipend of around £13k to cover living costs.
- Seven Lancaster University Graduate School Scholarships are available to provide a contribution towards the student's course fees. Six of these are intended for UK/EU students and will reduce the fees by £1.5k. One is intended for overseas students and will reduce the fees by £3k.
- A number of smaller partial scholarships may also be available.
All applicants who are eligible for funding from these sources will be automatically considered for these grants, but do mention them in your application if you wish to emphasise your interest.
Overseas students not self or government-funded can obtain advice on possible sources from the Student Support pages.
