Nadia Mazza (academic staff, pure mathematics)

2003 : PhD in mathematics (algebra), Universite de Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland. Advisor : Prof. Jacques Thevenaz. 2003-2006 : Postdoctoral associate and part-time instructor at the University of Georgia, Athens, GA, USA. 2006-2008 : Research fellow of the Swiss National Foundation at the University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, UK. Spring 2008 : Postdoctoral research fellow at the MSRI, Berkeley, CA, USA.

Research Interests

  • Modular representations of finite groups : endo-permutation and endotrivial modules, Dade group.
  • Cohomology of finite groups and (rank) varieties of modules.
  • Fusion systems on finite p-groups and representations of categories
  • Finite groups and subgroup complexes.
